The year 2015 is coming to an end and we need to think about gifts for the New Year. New Year's holidays are always considered quite special in the year, so you need to pay special attention to these gifts. As a rule, they prepare congratulations not only to their family members, but also to friends, colleagues, teachers, doctors, and teachers. At least some trifle, but it is necessary to present, let it be something not at all expensive, but very necessary. Here, what gifts are relevant for the New Year 2016? It can be beautiful balls, monkeys, notebooks, diaries. For example, almost every person needs a diary for the next year. So it will be not only a good gift for the New Year, but also, as they say, will be useful in the household. But if you need to congratulate specifically someone, for example, your beloved doctor, then you can buy a regular ready-made diary for 2016 and make a cover on it with the inscription "Diary of your favorite doctor" using the scrapbooking technique. This cover will be soft, fabric with your favorite pictures and decorations.
For the cover art master class we need to take:

Ready-made diary for 2016;
Two blanks from binding cardboard 15.5 * 21 cm;
The cardboard is dense;
Office paper;
Fabric cotton bright pink in flowers cut 25 * 32 cm;
4 metal corners in silver;
Two sheets of 30 * 30 cm scrapbook paper with bears and light pink;
Cards from scrapbook paper two pieces measuring 7.5 * 10 cm;
Pictures with bears;
Card with the inscription "Diary of a beloved doctor";
Small acrylic orange and pink buttons;
Glue stick;
Glue with the effect of double-sided tape from Evgenia Kurdibanovskaya;
PVA glue with a brush;
Large stationery clips;
Pencil;
Ruler;
Scissors;
Double-sided tape;
Pink ink pillow;
Calendar grid for 2016;
Hole puncher;
Sintepon sheet;
Bandage or gauze.

To begin with, carefully remove the cover from the diary, do it carefully, if there is an office knife, then you can make several cuts to easily remove the block.

Disconnected, now we need to make bookends for our binding. Bookends are dense sheets that connect the cover and binding. From each sheet of scrapbook paper we cut two parts measuring 20.5 * 29 cm. We divide the side that is 29 cm in half 2 * 14.5 cm.

We draw the bending lines and fold the two blanks. We open one sheet and on the left side on a double-sided tape we paste the calendar grid (if there is an ink pad, then the edges of the grid should be toned).

From the sheets that remain, we cut out two pockets of 9 * 14.5 cm and 10 * 14.5 cm. Hole punch from the remnants of the strip and glue on top of the pockets with PVA glue. Glue a picture of a bear on one pocket, and on the second inscription 2016 with monkeys.

We sew pictures and a grid on a typewriter. Now glue the prepared bookends on top and bottom of the block, spreading with glue literally 2-3 mm from the binding. We apply and press the flyleafs for about 5 minutes to glue it. From office paper, cut a rectangle of 9 * 20.5 cm and divide it into three parts on the lower side, respectively 3.5 * 2 * 3.5 cm. Draw vertical lines of bends.

Spread with glue and glue to the diary block.

From below and from above we apply some sheets or we can use notebooks and with the help of clamps we hold the block for about 30-40 minutes. In the meantime, make the cover. We put sheets of binding cardboard and cut a blank from the cardboard for gluing the cover together.

Glue the blank with a glue stick.

The synthetic winterizer is cut to the size of the cover in expanded form, glue it on the cover with tape. Iron the fabric well so that there are no wrinkles and lay it on the table face down. Put the cover with a padding polyester down.

We smear the edges with glue, wrap the fabric, beautifully fold the corners and glue it.

Stitch the edge of the cover on a typewriter.

We lay out the pictures in this sequence and sew them one by one on a typewriter.

Cut off the bandage, fold it in half and glue it on the edge of the diary block.

Smear inside and cover.

We insert the block into the cover, hold it down and hold for 5-10 minutes. Now we smear the sides of the notebook and glue the bookends in front and behind the notebook.
