To begin with, we blind from plasticine a mold, which we will subsequently glue. If you have other blanks in the shape of an egg (as in our case, packaging from a children's toy), you can use them.
The second step is to finely tear (or cut) a fairly large amount of paper. Ideally 6-7 sheets.
Wet a small amount of paper pieces in water. To do this, just type it in a bowl.
We glue the blank with wet paper (note, the glue is not used yet) in one layer.
The next step is to mix water and glue in proportions of one to two. All subsequent layers of the newspaper will be moistened already in this mixture.
Put another layer of newspaper cutting (soaked in glutinous water) on the pasted blank and let it dry well. The optimal time is two to three hours. After that, apply a few more layers. A prerequisite is the drying of the previous layer before the subsequent sticker.
When our form is glued with 7-8 layers, leave the craft to dry for a day and a half.
After this period has ended, apply a thick layer of white gouache paint to the egg - this will be a kind of primer. Wait until the egg dries and with a sharp knife cut a layer of paper so that you can pull out the form.
Glue the place of the cut with PVA glue or super glue. Craft is ready!
Now you can decorate the egg. There is no limit to fantasy! The primer is an excellent base for applying paints. You can use both gouache and watercolor, painting the craft. If you have beads or rhinestones in stock, you can also stick them.
In the same way, you can make a pasque and other Easter attributes, the most important thing is to make or find a suitable shape!
Despite the fact that the manufacture of papier-mâché crafts takes a lot of time, it is very simple and can even be trusted with a child.
