If you need to drill a hole in a wooden plank or bar exactly in the center, then you can use the center finder for an electric drill. It is easy to make it yourself.
The fixture can be made of plywood or wood, and this will take a minimum of time.
The first step is to prepare two metal rods and four springs.
Next, we saw off two wooden bars of the required size and drill through them through longitudinal holes.
On one side, the diameter of the hole must be larger so that springs can be installed.
The main stages of work
On metal rods using a hacksaw for metal you need to make cuts.
We make rings from the wire and put them on the rods - they will serve as stops for the springs.
From a piece of board, the author cuts out the mount for the drill. Then you need to glue two bars with holes to it. Insert rods with springs into them.
At the last stage, we put the center-detector nozzle on the drill, and you can drill holes in the workpieces. Useful homemade turned out.
