In this review, the author shows the manufacturing process of a home-made machine for cutting metal blanks. To do this, you need a grinder.
Other materials will also be needed: profile pipe 40 * 40 mm, angle 40 * 40 mm, bearings, profile pipe 20 * 20 mm, sheet metal, hinge.
The first step is to cut off two pieces of the corner. At the edges, the author drills holes and cuts threads in them.
Next, we insert the fastenings into the drilled holes, on which we put the bearings. As a result, we received two parts of the carriage.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, we connect the two parts of the carriage using plates cut from sheet metal. The carriage itself moves along the guide from the profile pipe 40 * 40 mm.
From a section of a profile pipe 20 * 20 mm, the author makes a lever that welds to the hinge. The hinge itself then needs to be welded to the carriage.
Next, from three steel plates, you need to weld the mount for the grinder. Fasten it to the gear case with bolts.
At the last stage, it is necessary to weld the racks for the guide. After that, you can start painting parts and assembling the machine.
