In this review, the author shows how to make a do-it-yourself device for working with wood based on a small grinder (angle grinder).
Using this device, the author plans to cut grooves and openings of various shapes - square or triangular - in wooden blanks (bars, boards or plywood).
To make a homemade tool, the author uses a small grinder (angle grinder), a chain from a chainsaw along with a saw chain, as well as metal blanks.
The main stages of work
First of all, it will be necessary to cut off two pieces of a metal plate of a rectangular shape. Then, in the middle of each blank, the author makes small indentations and welds the bushings.
Next, you will need to cut two pieces of a round bar of suitable diameter. On them, the author puts on bushings with plates welded to them. The bars in this case act as guides.
At the next stage, you need to cut off a couple more rectangular steel plates. With the help of angle grinders, the author cuts out the teeth in them.
Further, to these "toothed" billets (in the center), the master welds round metal bars cut earlier.
Metal plates with bushings need to be fastened to the chainsaw tire, having previously drilled holes in the plates and the tire itself.
We connect the two "tooth" plates with bolts, and then proceed to the assembly of the device itself. The tire is attached to the grinder through a special adapter.
