Often gaps appear between the laminate boards. Not everyone knows that plastering will not help in this situation. It will simply crumble with further movement of the floor.
It is recommended that the boards be knocked down so that the joints come together. And in this review, the author talks about how you can get rid of gaps and avoid their appearance in the future.
Work stages
First you need to thoroughly clean and vacuum all joints. If any debris gets into the gap, it will not let the boards close tightly. Use a clerical knife to remove all clogged dirt.
It is important to keep in mind: if there is a gap between the boards, this indicates damage to the castle. This means that over time, the floor will part again, if the joints can not be held together.
PVA carpentry glue is perfect for this. Apply a small amount of glue and spread it with a toothpick.
Remove the baseboard, if possible, and tack the entire row directly from the wall. In the case when this method is impossible, there is another way. You can use a glass jack.
One of the boards will need to be knocked out, and the second - we fix the load. With the help of a hammer and bar, the board will easily snap into place.
The glass jack is not tightly attached to all surfaces. You can use ordinary double-sided tape and a wooden block. Holding the bar firmly with your palm, you can easily slide the board into place.
That's all, using these two simple methods, you can easily get rid of the gaps in the laminate. And PVA glue will reliably fasten joints, not allowing cracks to appear again.
