To grind metal and wooden workpieces, a grinder (angle grinder) is very often used. However, holding it constantly in your hands is not always convenient. Therefore, the author decided to make a mini rack.
The design of the device itself is very simple. To make it, you can use improvised materials that can easily be found in a home workshop or garage.
The first thing you need to do from a steel strip is two corners for attaching a grinder. We cut off two blanks, drill two holes in them, then we make a slot with a grinder and bend in half.
In principle, you can use ready-made corners by cutting them to the right size. They will only need to drill two holes of suitable diameter.
The main stages of work
As a basis, the author uses a piece of a channel in which four holes need to be drilled. Guides from studs are inserted into the side holes.
While the holes in the central part of the channel are used to fasten the base to a sheet of plywood or, for example, to the desktop.
At the last stage, we put on the guides the corners that are screwed to the grinder, after which we fix them at the required height.
