To remove the bearings from the shaft or to get them out of a blind fit, different designs of pullers are used. In this review, the master proposes to make an impact puller from old pliers, which will allow you to remove the bearing from the landing "nest".
The process of dismantling the bearing is due to the hammer (or hammer) - a steel blank that slides along the axis. The drummer abuts against a steel sleeve welded to the end of the axis, as a result of which the applied force is transmitted to the puller grips.
First of all, the master parses the pliers (separates them into two halves, removes the plastic rubber handles, then takes the grinder and cuts off part of the sponges.
The main stages of work
The author makes two hooks from a steel square bar, which will need to be welded to the cut-off lips of the pliers. Welds must be cleaned with a grinder.
Next, one of the halves of the pliers, the master cuts off part of the handle and welds the nut. The second handle will also need to be cut. Then you need to attach two plates to the pliers, which are welded to the tube.
Then a drummer (steel blank) is put on the pipe, and a sleeve is welded to its upper part. At the next stage, the master begins to assemble a homemade device.
Details on how to make your own homemade impact bearing puller from old or broken pliers, you can see in this video.
