When working on machines in a home workshop, in particular when processing various parts on a milling table, anything happens. Therefore, it is desirable that the possibility of a quick shutdown of the electric motor be provided.
Conventional switches for machine tools are good, but you can make them even better and more convenient to use. Moreover, the completion of the factory switch does not take much time.
Of the basic materials, in addition to the switch itself (in this case, the author uses the VKI-230 model), you will need: a wooden block, two furniture hinges, as well as a small piece of plywood about 10 mm thick.
The process of finalizing a homemade circuit breaker for machine tools
The main parts for homemade products are made from a wooden bar and a piece of plywood. They must be sawed to size and processed on a grinding machine. And then they are joined together with two furniture hinges.
It will be necessary to glue a small square (also from plywood) to the inside of the plywood, which will press the shutdown button.
At the last stage of the work, it remains only to finish the finished product, and paint the homemade product. Then it can be installed on the machine together with a factory switch.
Thanks to such a simple refinement, if necessary, the machine can be turned off in a matter of seconds - at least by hand, even by foot. Very comfortably.
