In the process of grinding workpieces and wood products on a drilling machine (when using a drum) a lot of dust is generated. And since there is no "dust collector" in this case, you need to make a platform for dust removal with your own hands.
The idea itself is quite simple, and that is, you need to slightly modify the area for drum grinding, so that you can connect the tube from the vacuum cleaner. The platform is made of plywood.
First of all, you will need to drill a hole for the diameter of the vacuum cleaner tube from the end of the site using a crown. Then the master deepens the central hole a little, choosing a crown of suitable diameter for this.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, the site needs to be dismantled (it consists of three pieces of plywood). And in the middle sheet you need to cut out a channel with a jigsaw, through which the dust will be removed during grinding work.
It will also be necessary to make a small indentation in the bottom sheet of plywood so that the tube from the vacuum cleaner goes as smoothly as possible.
After that, it remains only to assemble the site in the reverse order, and install it on the desktop of the drilling machine. Now the dust during grinding of wooden parts will be discharged into the bag of the vacuum cleaner.
