To make this useful homemade product you will need two wooden blocks. You can take plywood, if there are no suitable bars. But it will be necessary to glue it in order to gain the desired thickness.
First of all, the master cuts two wooden blocks in size. Then he cuts off the edges of the blanks on the band saw. If there is no band saw, you can do it with an electric jigsaw.
The main stages of work
At the next stage, the resulting workpiece will need to be processed on a grinding machine. Fit both parts very accurately. Then the master aligns the plane on the workpieces with a manual planer.
In a short wooden block, it will be necessary to drill a hole for the hairpin - this part will be movable, unlike the second workpiece. And then a piece of rectangular plywood is cut out, on which the elements of the device will be placed.
At the last stage, the master finalizes the movable block, and also drills holes in a long workpiece so that it can be fixed on the base using self-tapping screws.
