Of the basic materials for work, you will need a piece of a rectangular steel plate and a wooden block for the manufacture of the handle. Since even a small grinder cannot perform all the operations, it is advisable to have a dremel with a cutting disc on hand.
The main stages of work
First of all, cut a piece of a rectangular plate of the right size. Then we attach a paper template of the hammer head to it and outline the outer contours. After that, we take the grinder in our hands, and perform rough machining of the part. In the center, drill holes for the handle.
Further, metal files and dremel files are used. The work ahead is not that laborious, but rather jewelry, so a little patience and perseverance will not hurt. At the next stage, we begin to manufacture a wooden handle for a hammer.
To do this, take a small block of solid wood, markup and give the desired shape with a dremel. You can also perform this operation on a belt grinder. When the handle is ready, grease the upper part with glue and push the hammer onto it.
