A ratchet wrench (for interchangeable heads of different diameters) made of a single-speed bicycle sprocket with a ratchet allows you to speed up the assembly-disassembly process of various structural elements, mechanisms or parts interfaced with each other by means of a bolted connection.
In addition to the bicycle sprocket, to make a ratchet wrench, you will need a nut with a washer, a piece of steel round pipe, a small ½ inch square piece, and also a piece of profile. All these materials can be found without problems in the garage or at the scrap metal collection point.
The main stages of work
Inside a piece of steel pipe, insert a nut with a press washer, and then scald. In the pipe with the help of a file for metal you need to "gnaw" a square hole for a piece of steel square.
Using a grinder, we make a longitudinal cut in two side walls of the profile pipe, after which we weld the handle to the bicycle sprocket. But first, the sprocket itself must be welded to a piece of round pipe.
Then we insert a piece of a square with a head of a suitable diameter, and you can go to turn the nuts. Compared to conventional wrenches, using such a key is much more convenient.
