Any interior of a house or apartment can be made interesting and unusual, using original “hand-made” accessories in an environment that can be done independently. Moreover, the manufacture of such decorative elements does not require the availability of expensive materials. No wonder they say that the perfection of forms is in their simplicity.
To make a table lamp from a motorcycle chain with your own hands, you will need a chain from a motorcycle (it is advisable to choose a massive one), a lamp holder and a wire. Also, for work, you need a few boards for making a wooden stand for a lamp.
Preparation and milestones
First of all, we cut off the segment of the desired length from the motorcycle chain, form a U-shape from it, and then fix the links to each other by welding - in the end you should get a rigid rack on which the lamp holder will be mounted. Next, we clean the surface of the chain with a grinding disc for the grinder.
We saw off four workpieces from a wooden bar with angles of 45 degrees, from which we then glue a rectangular frame. We fix two boards to the top of the base, but not close to each other - there should be a small gap between them. Then, if necessary, grind and paint the surface (or varnish).
At the final stage of work, we install a rack from a motorcycle chain and fix it to a wooden stand with plastic ties. Then we fasten the cartridge with the lamp and pass the wire between the chain links. The result is a very stylish table lamp for the home, and almost for free.
