This device will be useful to everyone who is engaged in body repair on their own - with the help of a reverse hammer with a replaceable nozzle, you can easily and quickly remove small dents in those parts of the car body that are difficult to access directly (for example, arches, pillars or sills). And you can make such an indispensable tool in the garage from improvised materials.
What materials will be required
As a basis for this homemade product, the old steering rod will be used, which has already "unwound" its life. If necessary, we clean the surface of the part from rust and dirt with the help of sandpaper or an grinding wheel.
You will also need a piece of steel scrap 12 cm long, in the center of which you need to drill a through hole with a diameter of 13 mm (this is best done on a lathe).
Additionally, it will be necessary to use a part of the steering tip and a steel plate with dimensions of 70x30 mm, which can be cut from the fortieth corner. On the front side of the plate, notches must be made for better adhesion with the adhesive.
Fixture assembly process
We put a piece of scrap on the axis of the tie rod, to the upper part of which it is necessary to weld a “plug” so that the part is non-removable. A part of the steering tip and a steel plate cut from a corner must be welded together perpendicular to each other.
