If you are going to grow mangoes at home (for this it is enough to "go out" the seed of a ripe fruit or you can buy a seedling), then you definitely need a suitable pot.
The fact is that this tropical plant can reach a height of about 15-35 meters (sometimes even more), and therefore the capacity for planting should be large.
In this review, the author suggests making a wooden pot for growing mangoes. As the main material, it uses bars of 50 * 30 mm. You can use wooden blocks of other sizes - this is at your discretion.
The first step is to make the beveled edges (that is, that the end face be trapezoidal). The circular saw will perfectly cope with this task.
The process of making a wooden pot
After you saw the right number of bars, they must be joined together using a regular masking tape. It will be enough to stick on the bottom and top of the bars in one strip.
Next, the "canvas" needs to be rolled up into a "roll", and as a result you get a pot, which additionally will need to be fastened with metal strips at a certain distance from the edge.
At the next stage, cut off the edges of the pot with a jigsaw to get more or less even. And then it will be necessary to make a round bottom, which is mounted on a mounting foam.
For a more aesthetic appearance, the surface of the bars can be burned with a burner, and then varnished or soaked with mineral oil. For details on how to make a simple wooden pot for mango, see the video on our website.
